Nature First is a community of photographers who pledge themselves to follow certain principles while practising their profession or hobby of nature and landscape photography.
Because of the growing popularity of landscape photography due to the Social Media Adventure and Influencer phenomenon, certain rules and values are necessary to increase the awareness of and improve the behaviour in our increasingly fragile environment.
But what can you actually do as a landscape photographer? For example, for every photo you take at a beautiful location, you could also take away some waste. There is almost always some!
So, in addition to my photography gear, I make it a habit to take along some waste bags and gloves. That means exercising some humility and cleaning up after others! Sometimes even in front of other people, who might throw you strange looks and think you’re weird. It’s a weirdness to be proud of!
