An early morning walk in late March by a river in south Germany. The night was still chilly, the ground frozen and a thin layer of mist covered the river valley. The atmosphere mirrored my thoughful mood and I followed the invitation for a solitary walk along the river bank. At least I thought I was alone until I later spotted another lonesome figure in a picture. Can you spot it?
Further up the river shall we go
The tangled trees above we mirror below.
Throwing rocks, watching as the ripples spread
Into our lives. The thoughts within our head,
Fleeting as what stirs the bush behind us
Embraced in silence, no on can find us
Swinging, past, present, new laughs, old memory
Fate wispers of a future, soon we’ll see.
Come further up the river with me.
